Q. Can I update my application after I've submitted my entry?
A. Yes. You may update your application at any time up until the submission deadline (Monday, January 11, 2027).
After the deadline, minor updates that do not significantly deviate from what you registered at submission—such as maintenance or bug fixes—are generally acceptable. However, if an update is judged to affect the fairness of the review process, it may be excluded from consideration.
Q. Can I edit the description or overview text after I've submitted my entry?
A. No. Once you've submitted an entry, you cannot revise its description or overview text. If you need to make changes, please submit it as a new entry and include the original entry’s name in the description.
Q. May I submit to this challenge an entry I’ve already entered in another contest?
A. Yes, please feel free to apply. However, there may be restrictions under that contest's rules or the data’s license. Be sure to review the other contest’s application guidelines and the data usage terms.
Q. Can I submit my entry in this challenge to another contest as well?
A. Yes, as long as you comply with the data’s license terms. Please also check the application guidelines of any other contest to ensure there are no conflicting restrictions.
Q. The entry requirements state that the work must be “made publicly available for anyone to use free of charge.” Does this mean it must be accessible worldwide (for example, in the EU)?
A. No. As long as your work is accessible under a typical Internet environment in Japan, it meets this requirement.
